MY FIRST POST!!
WOW.....this year is moving so fast! I have a very sweet class and am having a lot of fun. I have 2 student teachers and they are great. I had no idea how much work it would be though! It was so great for them to see how TOUGH kinder is in the very beginning. I think they were a little shocked by it all. They are so amazed by students' growth in 33 days! I will admit that it has been so hard to hand the teaching over to them. They are both trying so hard (one more than the other), but I LOVE to teach! I am so particular about everything and sometimes I just want to jump in! I stop myself, though, and realize that they need this experience and that I am helping them. I was once there myself. (I bet that was scary hahhaha)
Over all my kids are improving each day. I have a few with speech problems, a few with emotional issues, a Jehovah's witness, and some annoying parents! I also have a few kids with wonderful attitudes and great parents...a few I said.
One thing I have noticed is that most of them love school. In fact, one brought a "spelling test" that her mom gave her on all the words we are learning. It was sooooo cool! She wrote all the words and her mom wrote me a note on it about how much she loves to learn. At the end she put both her numbers and I gave her a call to tell her how amazed I was. Then I mentioned to dad the next day how impressed I was and he was saying that she loves school. This made me SO HAPPY.
I have so many goals this year for my students and I hope that I can live up to them all--I also want to try and do a better job of communicating with all parents. (I tend to communicate with some more than others.) Well, off to write another social letter for OVERDUE DUES. Be back soon...

Remember to show appreciation for everyone you love!!

Thanks...I love reading your blog.
I will bring my German cousin to see you when she visits in two weeks! Sounds like you need to go to Munich and go to the real thing.
