CAMBODIA! Its Khmer alphabet has 74 letters!
I woke up this morning to have coffee and sat down at my computer (where my trivia calendar is with random facts)
I read the question and was so surprised to find the answer. We have quite a large population of Khmer students at our school so it got me interested in their alphabet...so I did some Internet searching! It is true...one site called it the alphabet from H---!
I can't imagine teaching my students that many letters. It is hard enough teaching them 26 letters and sounds!
