RECYCLING

Our class has gone GREEN! We started to recycle for Earth Day and the kids are soooo excited. Each day they come with bags of cans or water bottles. I took the first load last week and it was 3 HUGE boxes of recycling. Unfortunately I was unable to recycle all of it b/c of missing labels or they would not fit in the hole. It is a hard job. I know I could just put them in my recycling trash can outside my house for the city to pick up, but we are going to raise money for a charity and the kids really liked this idea. They keep saying..." I brought more cans for the people" It is so cute, "the people". We are making a goal to collect money and Carlos and I will give money too. I think it is such a great lesson...helping others, recycling, and responsibility. I am excited and the parents have been very supportive. Hopefully we meet our goal....right now we have a whopping $7.00! GO GREEN!
