SO SAD

Today I found out that one of my students will be moving to Las Vegas soon. I am very sad because she has become quite the scholar. She came in with nothing, and is now in one of my higher groups. I am so proud of her progress and want to see her promoted with the rest of my class! So sad!

It seems that my two new ones get needier as the days roll past. They come late daily, or don't come at all. Someone either does their homework, or it does not get done at all. They either forget the letter/work we are working on, or they won't respond....UGH! I am frustrated with them--yet I feel SO bad for them. They have no support, love, or guidance. It is so sad. I just pray that I can make some bit of difference for them. I hope.

On the Recycling front things are going great....kids bring cans and bottles daily and we are at $17.55! I am so excited for this new project (although it is a LOT of work!) Thanks to Mr. Munoz for supporting my CRAZY ideas! His poor wife must think I am crazy when he comes home with boxes of bottles and cans. "Can we stop by the recycling center before we go to our anniversary dinner?" Geez, I am a slave driver!:)

This week is starting typically..Mondays are slow and tough. I am not feeling well so I left school to come home and rest--off to do that.
